Jesse PETER Ash

Jesse Peter Ash is a Sound Designer, Engineer, and Musician based in Montréal with work spanning a wide variety of projects and roles over his career including Original Compositions, Sound Design/Creation and Audio Production, System Design and Integration, and Live Mix and Engineering.

With a focus on engagement and a knack for adapting his work to specific production contexts, Jesse is particularly interested in helping to create audience experience that fit seamlessly into their environments, whatever they may be and ensuring an open, collaborative process. Whether Theatrical, Installation and Immersive Experience, New Media, Concerts, Film or Web Production the focus is the same and always driven by the context of the project itself and the stories and ideas being explored.

Over the years Jesse has collaborated with numerous world renowned artists and companies including Robert Wilson, Francois Girard, the Stratford Festival of Canada, Moment Factory, Théâtre du Nouveau Monde, and Robert Lepage’s Ex Machina. Additionally he's credited on several world premieres and original installations, including works by Daniel MacIvor, Robert Wilson, Judith Thompson, Morris Panych, Derek McCormack, and the cabaret musical The God That Comes featuring Hawksley Workman.

In addition to his collaborative efforts focused on collective experiences, Jesse’s self driven work, also rooted in sound veers more toward creating personal experiences outside of traditional 'programmed' spaces.
